Overall Critique: Excellent head planes, ear set and size. Thick bone, heavy deeply pigmented coat. His mask is starting to fade and lacks depth, but he should carry for, and in theory pass on the genetics for full deep mask by parentage. Exceptional structure, square and thick, excellent front and rear assembly, with straight front and rear legs, but toes out slight in the front (as does his mother Quill) and great depth of stifle with correctly alligned croup. He also has an excellent shoulder layback and depth of shoulder. His back is short and strong with powerful foward reach and drive.

**Target's OFA rating is Fair. There are 3 known factors that affect hip/joint development. Nutrition, inappropriate exercise, and genetics. We are confident his lower rating is not due to his genetics, but rather the first two factors. Target was given to a working kennel to be raised as a detection dog at 8weeks old. He has a tendency to jump vertically in his kennel run most of the day. I believe this constant strain/impacting on his hips upon landing on the concrete floor has affected his hip joint development. His mother and Grandfather are  OFA excellent, and his father and paternal grandfather are OFA Good.
